Town of Dayton, VA – Water Treatment Plant and SCADA System

The Town of Dayton, VA, improved its water distribution system by building a new water plant capable of delivering 3MGD of treated water to over 690 customers.

We partnered with General Contractor Waco, Inc., to build a new water treatment plant capable of supplying 3MGD of fresh water to its customers. As the electrical and controls contractor, we installed the electrical power distribution systems and provided automation and controls for processes that support the treatment of the water and complementary processes. After successfully commissioning the new water plant, we removed the electrical and control systems associated with the old plant.

We installed a new, complete, water treatment plant with associated control systems while maintaining operation of the existing plant. After completion of the new plant, we demolished the old infrastructure.

After completing the installation of electrical and control systems for the new water plant, we worked directly with the Town to install and commission a new SCADA system to control the water distribution system, all while ensuring minimial impact to the supply of water to the Town’s customers.
