MEB Enhanced Biosolids Reuse & Reduction

Allen Yoho Electrical partnered with General Contractor, MEB, to provide experienced electrical work for the Enhanced Biosolids Reuse & Reduction Project at Harrisonburg-Rockingham Regional Sewer Authority (HRRSA) in Mt. Crawford, VA.

The Enhanced Biosolids Reuse and Reduction Project saw the installation of a new waste drying facility to reduce the volume of produced biosolid. As both the electrical contractor and systems integrator, Allen Yoho Electrical installed all electrical equipment and provided control panel design and installation, including the programming and integration of multiple subsystems, including a new solids conveyor and a spiral heat exchanger system.

The new system greatly reduced the volume of produced biosolids.

Allen Yoho Electrical provided comprehensive electrical and automation services under one organization. We completed this project ahead of schedule, and the EPA recognized it with a 2018 PISCES award. It was also a Gold Medal Winner of the Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award.
